dirSize displays a directory tree with directory sizes attached to
the nodes. It works great if you want to backup a bunch of directories
and don't know how to split them on CDs.
After starting dirSize, choose "File > Scan..." and
select a root directory. The entire directory structure will be imported
into dirSize. If you want to add another directory structure just click
on "Scan..."
again. To quickly sum up the sizes of individual subdirectories select
them by holding down Ctrl and clicking on them. The KB total will be
displayed in the status bar.
Importing directory trees is done in the background which means you
can already calculate directory sums while dirSize is reading in the
directory sizes.
